Timeline Reflection 1C 8/31/12
I feel that one of the strongest parts of my timeline is the sunset. I like the sunset the best because of the way I used the colors and got them shaded correctly in the reflection on the water. I think I could have done a better job of creating my sports section because I first colored the background green by accident. My timeline is about some of the major events that have occured in my life. Some of the details that I show include when I was born and got baptized, got involved with riding horses, and a church youth group trip to New Orleans. One of the most dominent groups of colors in my timeline is the cool colors like blue and green. I also used colors that mostly involve nature. One of the least noticeable colors throughout my timeline is red. In my timeline the footprints around the edge give it a certain pattern, because I used repeating colors in my footprints. I also included some of my other trips and accomplishments of my life. I learned that it is important to have a plan and follow through with it. This could be applied to every day life. I first drew the whole timeline in pencil and went back over it at the end in color. I did this so that if I made any mistakes I could try and fix them. I also left a space around the top of my timeline to add footprints symoblizing the path of my life and other small accomplishments. I think this was a very good project because it makes you think about your life and your possible future plans. It is also a great way to express your feelings about your life through art. One thing I might change would be to make the timline longer and possibly allow more time.
